Job Description:
As a result of continued and sustained growth, our Client is looking to recruit a Structural Engineer to work at their West Yorkshire offices. The successful individual will join the company’s experienced team, working on a variety of projects within the commercial / retail / residential and industrial sectors.
Typical duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Undertaking structural engineering assessments and inspections of both new and existing properties in steel / concrete / masonry and timber
- Preparing high quality technical reports to include dilapidation reports and due diligence structural surveys
- Undertaking analysis and design using a range of software packages, to include CSC Fastrak, Tekla, Building Design and TEDDS
- Ensuring the quality and consistency of technical output (drawings / reports) is always maintained
- Liaising with and leading other members of the design team to achieve a coordinated design solution that meets the Clients objectives
- Working on a variety of large projects, which include but not limited to offices / hotels and large housing developments
Role / Person Specifications:
- BEng / MEng in Structural engineer
- Chartered Membership of the ICE / IStructE OR working towards Chartership
- 3+ years’ post graduate experience
- Strong communication, analysis, technical design and drawing skills
- Experience of high rise constructions and assessing existing structures essential
- Experience of work on large projects, offices, hotels, housing developments highly desirable
- Full clean driving license
