HV SAP
Overview
Due to continued growth and the award of a number of significant, long running framework contracts, our client wishes to appoint an experienced HV SAP to work within the power distribution division. You will be working on a variety of LV, MV and HV electrical projects, with a focus upon sub-stations, cabling, switchgear and connections schemes, which will be on behalf of various UK DNO, IDNO and private networks clients.
The Role
- Support all site personnel as an SAP working on HV & LV networks
- Assist in the testing and commissioning of HV / LV distribution systems
- Plan and co-ordinate projects and fault response call outs
- Assist in the training and development of colleagues
- Carry out audits, produce reports for works undertaken and manage project budgets to ensure team efficiency, and safe and timely delivery to client expectations and company standards
- Act as a Standby Engineer for our client’s extensive O&M portfolio of sites
- Managing client and key stakeholder relationships in a professional and courteous manner
- You will go through our client’s industry leading induction and onboarding process and have opportunities to develop further through their in house training academy
The Person
- Assessing potentially hazardous and dangerous situations, taking appropriate action to ensure the safety of personnel, other site operatives and the public
- Undertaking site specific risk assessments and creating RAMS, and competent in issuing and cancelling safety documents
- Ensuring personnel and the wider team understand their duties under safety documents
- Carrying out network operations under instruction from Network Control Engineers
- Understanding the local network anomalies and ensuring correct phase rotation
- Currently hold (or have held) authorisations up to 33kV including permit to work (or 11KV accompanied with extensive experience).
- CSCS card and full UK driving licence holder
- Competent user of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams and SharePoint, across multiple platforms such as smart phones, tablets and laptops
