Job Title: Senior Geo-Environmental Consultant

Salary/Rate: £30,000 - £40,000

Job Description:

As a result of continued and sustained growth, our client is now looking to recruit a Senior Geo-environmental Consultant to be based within their Northampton offices, responsible for the design and management of geotechnical and / or geo-environmental assignments. 

 

Typical duties will include, but are not limited to:

 

  • Desk Studies and Ground Investigations (Factual and Interpretative)
  • Human Health / Phase 2 Ground Investigations / Groundwater and Gas Risk Assessments
  • Preparation of Remediation Option Appraisals and Method Statements
  • Negotiating and Liaising with Relevant Regulatory Authorities
  • Good working knowledge of appropriate British Standards / Eurocodes / Industry Guidance and NHBC Standards
  • You will provide a variety of clients, including house builders, main contractors and project managers, with geotechnical and geo-environmental advice and assistance as required
  • You will be required to provide advice and mentoring to more junior staff within the team, as well as advice and assistance to members of other teams

 

Role / Person Specifications:

 

  • Possessing a BEng / BSc or higher technical qualification in a relevant subject
  • Ideally chartered or working towards Chartered status
  • At least six years of relevant experience, ideally gained in ground investigation, interpretation risk assessment and reporting
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills combined with good analysis and technical capability
  • Possessing good analysis and technical capability in MS Office
  • Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD and environmental risk assessment tools
  • Geotechnical assessment and modelling would be highly beneficial
